Abstract: Determination of the relative states is the primary and important guarantee for normal operation of micro-satellite formation. With the miniaturization and low-cost spaceborne GPS receiver, the accuracy of orbit determination is low. In order to solve this problem, a method of correcting the formation relative orbit is given with only inter-satellite ranging information used. Inter-satellite ranging information is introduced and the extended Kalman filter is used to enhance the estimation accuracy of the relative orbit. The numerical simulation results show the validity of this approach.

Abstract: Formation initialization for elliptic reference orbit is studied in this paper, and three formation initialization strategies for planner formation configuration are derived. Firstly, two impulsive initialization strategy is derived using the state transition matrix. Secondly, three and four in-track impulsive initialization strategies are studied using the Gauss perturbation equations with the principle of minimal fuel consumption. Finally, numerical simulations of three initialization strategies are carried out, and the sequence quadratic programming and genetic algorithm are proposed to optimize the numerical results. Simulation results show that three in-track impulsive initialization strategy requires about 41% less velocity increment compared with two impulsive initialization strategy, and four in-track impulsive initialization strategy requires almost equal velocity increment compared with three in-track impulsive initialization strategy.

Abstract: So far the analysis method of detective coverage in multipoint coupling plasma detective missions on space processes is still at the stage of qualitative analysis. Statistical analysis of a certain space region for the satellites also cannot undergo further quantitative analysis. To meet the needs of fast development of space science missions, on the basis of correlation function and space processes analysis, a coverage analysis method based on theta-tR coverage diagram is proposed. By analysis of theta-tR coverage diagram in accumulative time period of various design alternative, the appropriate design can be chosen according to the characteristics of coverage range. Then quantitative analysis is made on multipoint coupling detective processes of two coplanar elliptic orbits, with which the method is verified.

Abstract: In sky coverage analysis, we present an efficient algorithm based on a coordinate transformation method to calculate the points on the boundary of detection field. In this method, the complexity of coordinates transformation is reduced by building a new Celestial Coordinates. Based on this algorithm, QTM, a coding method that has many advantages can be used to manage the data calculated. The main contents of this topic include: to build the quantitative calculation model for sky coverage;to establish the rasterized expression method of sky coverage analysis results;and to verify the method, analyse the accuracy of the method, compare the efficiency with the attitude-matrix transformation method and analytical method.
