"The workshop was successfully held on October 13 at Wangjiang Hotel in Chengdu.

The workshop aimed to comprehensively introduce the history, development trend and research practice of open science in psychology, and to discuss the innovations and challenges of open peer review, public interest scholarship, and open infrastructure in open science.

In recent years, open science has become a global consensus. 2021, UNESCO considered and adopted the Open Science Recommendation, and psychologists around the world, including China, have always been at the forefront of practicing open science. In August this year, the Publication Committee of the Chinese Psychological Association (CPA), in conjunction with more than ten Chinese psychological journals, including PsyCh Journal, Advances in Psychological Science, and Journal of Psychology, and the Pan Peas Library of the Institute of Psychology, issued the Suzhou Initiative for Open Science in Psychology. The Institute of Psychology is a pioneer in the open science movement. In terms of publication, the Journal of Psychology is the first psychology journal in China to require data storage and sharing of associated data, and to support the pre-registration of research; the Journal of Psychology and Advances in Psychological Science also support the simultaneous publication of papers on the preprint platform, and the PsyCh Journal will be fully converted to an open access journal from 2024.
